Government supports GFAC with 50 Million CFA F.
The Ministry of Small and Medium Size Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts, MINPMESA, will in 2021 inject the sum of FCFA 50 million to support the Cameroon Business Women Association, GFAC.

Minister Achille Bassilekin III made the pledge Tuesday September 15, 2020. He was speaking on behalf of the Honorary President of GFAC, First Lady, Chantal Biya while inaugurating the Head Office of the Association.

He said the money to be disbursed from his ministry’s 2021 budget will assist the women to carry out their development activities. Bassilekin III lauded the initiative of GFAC to create jobs among young girls despite the financial challenges.

On her part, the National President of GFAC, Senator Agnès Ntude Ndode epse Ndjock, promised to work in synergy with the association of ‘Buyam Sellams’ to remove them from the informal to the formal sector.

She disclosed that GFAC members will continue to mould young girls who were trained in business management for them to be better equipped to run their own enterprises.

The Association was created about 35 years ago. It has as objective to help women ensure their autonomy in various socio professional activities and contribute to curbing unemployment.
